Rossmin hands over classrooms to Duduzile high school

13 Feb 2024 was another moment of celebration at Duduzile high School when Rossmin, in partnership with Victor Daitz Foundation, handed over two newly constructed classrooms. These two classrooms were additional to four classrooms that were handed over in 2022. Until then the school catered for about 800 learners up to Grade 10. (see Rossmin news 22/05/11)

Duduzile enrolled their first matric students in 2023. The school shows an impressive pass rate of 98%. Mrs Madlala who is the Principal of Duduzile High school proudly announced that out of 65 students who registered for the exams, 64 wrote them, and an outstanding 63 students passed The two extra classrooms were added to help reduce overcrowding

It was amazing to have the support and commitment from all community stakeholders. Among others present were Ray Nkonyeni Municipality IDP department, Ugu District Municipality, Department of Education, Chief Sithembiso Lushaba, Tribal authority, Community leadership forum and School governing body

The school management awarded the funders and Rossmin management with certificates of appreciation and provided refreshments for all attendees. School learners led a song of appreciation as the ribbon was cut open.
